Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills across various trades, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and finishing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and finishing techniques. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and contributing to the successful completion of projects within specified timeframes.
Duties
- Execute a variety of finishing tasks across multiple trades such as plastering, construction painting, masonry, and carpentry.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs, installations, and finishing works.
- Perform roofing repairs or installations as required by project specifications.
- Conduct plumbing and electrical tasks in accordance with schematics and technical drawings.
- Fabricate components on-site using welding and fabrication techniques to meet project needs.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Apply construction painting techniques to achieve desired finishes and protect surfaces.
- Carry out masonry work including laying bricks or blocks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project progression from start to finish.
Requirements
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, or related fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and finishing tasks.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately and execute tasks accordingly.
- Experience in construction painting and surface finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not essential.
