Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, organised and customer-focused Multi-Site Manager to support the day-to-day running of our Shell retail sites at Skelmersdale and Maghull.
This is a full-time management role within a busy 24/7 Shell retail environment. The role involves maintaining high operational standards, supporting and leading staff, managing stock control, ensuring compliance, overseeing cash handling processes, and delivering excellent customer service standards across both sites.
The successful candidate must be confident working across more than one site and able to travel between Skelmersdale and Maghull as required. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
This position would suit someone with previous retail, forecourt, supervisory or leadership experience who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high standards, and supporting teams in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of both sites
- Lead, support and supervise team members across both locations
- Delegate daily tasks and follow up to ensure completion
- Support with rotas, shift planning and staff cover
- Maintain high standards across the shop floor, forecourt, stockroom and customer areas
- Carry out cashing up, banking preparation and cash handling responsibilities
- Support with stock ordering, stock control, deliveries and merchandising
- Monitor stock rotation, date checking, reductions and waste control
- Support audit preparation and ensure compliance standards are maintained
- Maintain high food safety, cleanliness, health & safety and operational standards
- Ensure both sites remain safe, tidy, clean and well presented
- Support with training, coaching and developing team members
- Deliver excellent customer service and lead by example
- Operate tills and payment systems accurately when required
- Report and follow up on maintenance, safety, staffing or operational concerns
- Work closely with the business owners/directors to improve site performance
Requirements
- Previous retail, forecourt, supervisory or leadership experience is required
- Experience managing or supporting a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident delegating tasks and holding standards consistently
- Reliable, professional and able to take initiative
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain operational standards
- Comfortable with stock control, cash handling and compliance processes
- Friendly, customer-focused and able to lead by example
- Flexible approach to working across two sites
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential
