About the role
We’re seeking a warm, professional, and engaging Host/Hostess to join the team at Wild Carrot Restaurant. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.
You will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating plans, and ensuring every guest receives a genuine and personalised experience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys building connections with guests, and thrives in a luxury restaurant environment.
What you will do

Welcome guests to Wild Carrot Restaurant with a warm and professional approach

Manage restaurant reservations and guest enquiries efficiently and accurately

Coordinate seating arrangements to maximise both guest experience and operational efficiency

Build rapport with guests and recognise returning visitors to create personalised experiences

Work closely with the Restaurant Management and service teams to ensure smooth service flow

Handle guest requests, special occasions, and dining preferences with attention to detail

Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, restaurant offerings, and hotel experiences

Manage waiting lists professionally and communicate accurate wait times to guests

Support service teams during busy periods to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction

Ensure the reception and entrance areas remain welcoming, organised, and reflective of the restaurant's standards
What You'll Bring

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or customer-facing hospitality role is preferred

A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

Experience using reservation systems would be advantageous
