Food Preparation

Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients

Prepare simple dishes like salads, sandwiches, and sides under chef direction

Help with portioning and plating food items
Kitchen Cleanliness and Maintenance

Keep kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and organised
-
Wash dishes, pots, pans using proper cleaning methods
-
Sweep, mop, and sanitise floors, counters, and surfaces
Stock Management

Receive and store deliveries in designated areas
-
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to kitchen manager
-
Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimise waste
Health and Safety
-
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards including PPE use
-
Report hazards, maintenance needs, or accidents immediately

Use proper food handling and storage procedures
Kitchen Operations Support

Set up and break down kitchen stations and equipment
-
Help prepare for catering, events, or special functions
-
Support front-of-house staff with resident orders
-
Maintain friendly, professional interactions with residents and staff

Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred

Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Ability to work in fast-paced environments handling multiple tasks

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Good communication skills and team player attitude

Warm, friendly personality passionate about enhancing residents' lives

Basic cooking and food preparation skills

Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends
