Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring accurate and timely receipt, storage, and despatch of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. In this role, you'll be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, maintaining accurate stock levels, and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Material management: Actively track components to the designated picking area. Assist with picking of materials as required to support production demands. Identify and report parts with missing documentation.
· Storage & Organisation: Safely and efficiently store goods in designated locations within the warehouse, optimising space and accessibility.
· Operational Support: Log off pick sheets daily. Generate identification labels for materials and product.
· Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and prepare orders for despatch according to company procedures and customer requirements.
· Loading & Dispatch: Load outgoing vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is correct.
· Inventory Management: Assist with regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records. Report any stock discrepancies immediately.
· Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
· Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily operational targets and support colleagues.
· Adherence to Procedures: Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for documentation and record-keeping.
Preferred Skills (Desirable)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Basic IT skills.
- FLT licence
