General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Microsoft PowerBI Reporting Analyst to join our IT Team, based in Merthyr, South Wales. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favorable salary of £45,600 to £57,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team, you will work across a range of stakeholders designing, developing, and maintaining Enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards that provide accurate, timely insights to support business decision making. The role works closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, actionable analytics. Experience working with Databricks, Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Data Factory is essential to this role.

Gather and translate business requirements into analytical solutions

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets

Model data using best practices (star schema, performance optimisation)

Data models are performant, well‑governed, and reusable

Develop and maintain DAX measures and calculated columns

Source and integrate data from enterprise data lakes, SQL databases, Excel, and cloud platforms

Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms)

Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop & Service)

Data concepts (tables, relationships, joins, transformations)

Experience with Power BI and data visualisation

Solid understanding of data modelling and DAX

Experience working with SQL and relational databases

Experience working with Databricks, Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Data Factory

Exposure to REST APIs, JSON or Microsoft Graph

Ability to translate business questions into analytical outputs

Strong attention to detail and data quality
