Halwa Tearoom & Patisserie is looking for an experienced and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our new café team.
The successful candidate must have experience preparing and serving high-quality English breakfasts (Halal) in a busy café, restaurant or hotel environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing full English breakfasts to a consistently high standard
- Cooking eggs in different styles, including fried, scrambled and poached
- Preparing halal sausages, turkey rashers, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes and toast
- Managing several breakfast orders at the same time
- Ensuring all dishes are served hot, fresh and presented well
- Preparing ingredients before service
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and reducing food waste
- Supporting the wider kitchen team when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience preparing English breakfasts is essential
- Able to work quickly and calmly during busy periods
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for early morning, daytime and weekend shifts
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred
