Barista & Front of House – YayLo Café
YayLo is looking for a task-focused, energetic and reliable team member to join us as a Barista and Front of House.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in getting things done. If you’re someone who naturally looks for the next task, stays busy, and enjoys a busy café environment, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing:
- Crafting high-quality coffee, iced drinks, teas and our signature protein drinks in a fast-paced environment
- Delivering excellent customer service with a smile
- Working the till and handling payments accurately
- Keeping the café sparkling clean, tidy and well-stocked at all times
- Showing real initiative — always on the move and looking for ways to help the team
- Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and personal presentation
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid barista skills and food service experience
- Is genuinely task-focused and hard-working
- Takes pride in a clean, organised café
- Has excellent attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude
- Loves learning and is eager to grow with the business
Requirements:
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate and Allergen Awareness training
- Proven barista experience
- Availability for up to 2 days per week, usually Saturday and or Sunday
- Live permanently in Reading
This is not a remote role – you’ll be part of our busy high street café team.

Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour
