Trainee Heating Engineer.
Job Details:
Redbridge & Sons Property Services are recruiting for the position of a Domestic /Commercial Trainee Heating Installation Engineer to join our expanding workforce and be part of the company’s heating team and be an integral part of the company’s future development. You will be expected to:
- Work in commercial plant rooms or large residential accommodation with communal heating systems. (Gas boilers & Commercial Air Source Heat Pumps)
- Work in Domestic properties installing heating systems. ASHP’s, Zero Emission Boilers, Air to Air, plus traditional heating systems.
- Support in setting up sites with the project manager and Team.
- Removal of existing infrastructure and recycling materials where possible.
- Installation of new press fit/soldered pipework and services to the new heat source.
- lagging of pipework as required.
- Final preparation of the plant rooms including general works.
- Maintaining a safe working site and adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Tasks as required or instructed by the team leader or project manager.
The training you will receive and long term objectives:
- As the successful applicant, you will undertake on the job training initially to gain knowledge and hands on experience.
- Future training plans will be designed around the workloads and aptitude of the successful applicant.
- Long term objectives are to become a heating engineer, being able to work to design drawings and install domestic and small commercial heating systems. Once completed you would be issued with a van and tools and be able to work independently.

Qualifications:
Some experience with plumbing and heating works is preferred but longer term training will be provided to the successful candidate. Driving licence would be favourable.
Experience:
- Plumbing: 1 year (preferred)

Your own transport is advantageous.
Working Week:
40 Hours per week. (Full time position)
Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm with 1/2 hour for lunch.
Salary:
£8.00 to £12.95 per hour depending on experience + expenses.
