7.5T Multi-Drop Driver
Location: Hereford
Salary: £32,797.44 per annum + additional driving safety bonus
Hours: 48 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 5 shifts per week, night shifts
Start Times: Between 20:00 and 03:00, depending on the shift
Contract: Temp to Perm – 12 weeks
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected independent business for a reliable and professional 7.5T Multi-Drop Driver to join their busy Hereford depot.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver, or a newly qualified C1 driver, looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks.
The Role
As a 7.5T Multi-Drop Driver, you will be responsible for delivering fresh, temperature-controlled products to customers across Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.
Working predominantly night shifts, you will complete multi-drop delivery routes across a mixture of rural and urban locations. You will be an important part of the distribution operation, ensuring deliveries are made safely, accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Category C1 (7.5T) vehicle in accordance with UK driving laws and tachograph regulations
- Complete multi-drop deliveries efficiently and accurately
- Load and unload products safely
- Ensure products are handled correctly and stock rotation procedures are followed
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, food hygiene and security
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and within the required timeframes
About You
We are looking for dependable and professional drivers who take pride in their work.
You will need:
- A full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement
- A valid Driver CPC
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous multi-drop experience is desirable, but newly qualified C1 drivers are welcome to apply
- The ability to undertake manual handling, loading and unloading duties
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach
