M J Allen Castings & Machining are looking for a Fettler. We are a Group of Engineering Companies specialising in Castings and Machining.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to remove runners, risers and flash from castings.
Key Responsibilities
To remove runners, risers and flash from internal and external faces of nonferrous and ferrous castings of different sizes and weights, using a variety of hand and powered tools including band saws, belt sanders/linishers, hand grinders and cutters etc.
Person Specification
Good communication and team working skills are an essential part of this role
The ability to read and understand written instruction is essential
Hours: 4 day week (40 hours)
6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday
30 minutes lunch
20 working days holiday
Other Duties
Be flexible to work in other related departments when the needs of the business require it
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times
Any other duties that you are reasonably asked to undertake that the Management consider to be within your capabilities
