A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming team.
- Job Type: Full time position, part time may be considered for the right applicant. Monday to Friday. All year round setting open 8am-5.30pm.
Established for 35 years and still thriving, our independent, family run nursery has high expectations of children's learning and behaviour. We have a strong team, contributing a variety of skills to provide a rich and nurturing learning environment for our children.
At The Learning Tree Kindergarten we are committed to providing Continuous Professional Development opportunities for the whole team. This can take the form of staff meetings or training sessions, online courses, external trainers and higher-level qualifications via our local college or affiliated universities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge and application of child development.
- Proficient in delivering a high standard of care and education for all children.
- Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.
- Use resources to create exciting spaces to promote children’s creativity and exploration.
- Observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
- Work as an active and supportive member of the staff team.
- Develop positive partnership with parents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Provide a welcoming, happy, safe and friendly environment for all.
- To ensure all necessary safeguarding steps are taken to keep children safe and well.

Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant EY Level 3 qualification ideally required. Relevant EY Level 2 qualification as a minimum
- 2yrs+ experience working in the Early Years sector (preferable)
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
