Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests during overnight hours. This role requires excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries with tact and efficiency. The Night Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the hotel during night shifts, providing exceptional guest services and support.
Duties
- Welcome and assist guests arriving or departing during night hours, ensuring a warm and professional attitude at all times.
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises to ensure safety and security standards are maintained.
- Handle guest enquiries via phone or in person with courteous phone etiquette and hospitality professionalism.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, or emergencies with discretion and efficiency.
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct patrols around the hotel premises to prevent unauthorised access or incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and other designated spaces during night shifts
- Collaborate with daytime staff to ensure seamless communication regarding guest needs or ongoing issues.
- Setting up conference rooms
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel reception, hospitality, or guest services is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with an organised approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially during emergencies or challenging situations.
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
