Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, assisting customers with their orders, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, seating space, and food preparation zones.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support in food preparation tasks when required, including assembling sandwiches or snacks.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Uphold high standards of customer service to promote repeat business and positive experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and balancing tills.
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including weekends if required.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
