The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for an A Level Politics teacher on a 0.5 basis with the possibility of up to full time (1FTE) for the right candidate if able to teach one of the following additional subjects- Business/ Economics/Geography. We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Politics teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning within a supportive, collaborative, and forward thinking department. You will be joining a long standing team that works closely together for the benefit of our learners, with a strong culture of sharing best practice and providing high levels of professional support.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Plan, deliver and assess high quality teaching and learning across A Level Politics (an ability to teach a second subject would also be advantageous such as Economics/ Business for possible full time)
- Provide effective academic and pastoral support to learners, supporting them throughout their educational journey.
- Ensure all learners make exceptional progress from their individual starting points through the use of effective assessment and targeted intervention.
- Develop learners’ wider knowledge, skills and behaviours to support their progression to higher education or employment.
- Enrich learners’ cultural capital by contributing to a broad range of extra curricular activities, including educational visits, guest speakers and other enrichment opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
- A passionate, knowledgeable and committed Politics specialist with the ability to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and support.
- Experience of delivering A Level programmes, particularly within Politics
