Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Applicants should possess relevant childcare experience and a passion for fostering children's growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development.
- Supervising children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being.
- Supporting children's emotional and behavioural needs with patience and understanding.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Assisting with daily administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and training when required.
- Be willing to embrace the outside space regardless of the weather
- Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare skills and knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is essential.
- Demonstrated management or leadership abilities within childcare environments are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with child development assessments and planning educational activities.
Requirements
- Current DBS check on the update service (not essential as we can get one completed)
- Paediatric first aid certificate (not essential as we can get one booked)
- Level 3 qualification in Early years childcare
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
