Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Applicants MUST possess relevant Level 3 childcare qualifications and experience working with children in nursery settings.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independence among children
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and special events
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of behaviour, organisation, and professionalism
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to engage children through creative activities while ensuring their safety
- Organised with the capability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Effective team player with a collaborative approach to work
