Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves fostering a safe, stimulating, and engaging atmosphere for children to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build positive relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents and the team.
- Manage daily nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment.
- Support children in developing essential skills such as sharing, cooperation, and independence through guided play.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles to effectively plan activities that meet developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive positive outcomes for children's development.
