About Us
Custom Carpentry Construction Ltd is a growing bespoke joinery company manufacturing high-end fitted furniture and handcrafted joinery from our workshop in Callander, Stirlingshire.
We specialise in a wide variety of bespoke projects, including fitted furniture, handcrafted timber doors, traditional windows and custom interior joinery for clients across Central Scotland. Every project is made to order, giving you the opportunity to work on interesting, varied and rewarding commissions rather than repetitive production work.
Please note: This is a workshop-based bench joinery/cabinet making role with some installation work on completed projects. We are looking for experienced workshop joiners with strong cabinet-making skills. This role is not suitable for first or second-fix site joiners without workshop manufacturing experience.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker who can confidently manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery from technical drawings through to final assembly and installation.
Typical projects include:
- Bespoke fitted wardrobes
- Media walls
- Bookcases and storage solutions
- Handmade timber entrance and internal doors
- Bespoke furniture
- Timber windows
- Traditional sash and case windows
The role involves both workshop manufacturing and occasional installation of completed projects throughout Central Scotland.
One of the biggest challenges of being self-employed is finding consistent, high-quality work. We take care of the enquiries, quotations, scheduling and project management, allowing you to focus on what you do best, producing exceptional joinery.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ bench joinery or cabinet-making experience
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from manufacture through to installation
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Confident using standard woodworking machinery
- Able to accurately interpret technical drawings
- Full UK driving licence
- Portfolio or photographs of recent work completed within the last 12 months
- References may be requested
Please note: We are not currently recruiting apprentices or trainees. Applicants must already have substantial bench joinery/cabinet-making experience.

£180–£220 per day, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
