About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Handyman / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our maintenance team, supporting Safe Store Self Storage UK sites across South West of England
This is a mobile, site-based role with a varied workload, ideal for someone with basic plumbing and carpentry skills who takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering a high standard of service. Customer care, attention to detail, and a positive “can-do” attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair works across multiple sites
- Complete basic plumbing tasks, including leak repairs, replacing fittings, and unblocking drains
- Undertake basic carpentry works such as door adjustments, shelving installation, and minor repairs
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and planned works
- Accurately record work completed and materials used
- Communicate professionally with customers and site teams, maintaining a positive company image at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a handyman or multi-skilled maintenance role
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing and carpentry
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- A proactive, flexible attitude and ability to manage your own workload
- Ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence preferred
