Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

As our workload continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Joiner/Multi Trades person to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes genuine pride in their workmanship, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and understands that delivering an outstanding customer experience is just as important as delivering an outstanding finish.
Whilst joinery will be your primary trade, we're looking for someone who is happy to get involved with all aspects of our building projects and work alongside the rest of the team whenever required.
The Role
As a Joiner at 1989 Homes Ltd, you will carry out a variety of first and second fix joinery works across our residential projects, whilst supporting the wider team with general building activities as projects progress.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to turn their hand to whatever is needed to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the exceptionally high standards our customers expect.
You will be competent working alone and also with a team of Trades people, with a willingness to lead a team wither immediately or In the future.
Key ResponsibilitiesJoinery Works
You will be experienced and competent in:
- First fix joinery
- Second fix joinery
- Roofing and timber structures
- Flooring
- Internal doors, frames and ironmongery
- Skirting, architraves and finishing carpentry
- Kitchen fitting
- Bespoke joinery and finishing work
- General maintenance and snagging
General Building Support
In addition to joinery, you will be willing to assist with:
- General building works
- Structural alterations
- Extension construction
- Demolition and site preparation
- Loading and unloading materials
- Keeping sites clean, safe and organised
- Supporting colleagues across different trades as required
Customer Service

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Joiner.
- Excellent first and second fix joinery skills.
- Experience working on domestic extensions, renovations or residential projects.
- Ability to read and work from drawings.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Positive, hardworking attitude.
- Willingness to support other trades when required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Multi-trade experience.
- Experience fitting kitchens.
- CSCS Card.
