Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and reliable Kitchen Staff to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in food preparation and meal service within a busy kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and food safety to develop their skills in a professional setting. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team in serving customers efficiently and courteously
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and contamination
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
- Basic understanding of serving procedures is desirable
