We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our care home team working nights, 24 hours per week. You will work closely with care staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care that meets the individual needs of each resident, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Assess residents' physical, emotional, and social needs, developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing personalised care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with NMC guidelines, company policies, and best practice.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, recognising changes in condition and taking appropriate action when required.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, district nurses, allied health professionals, and residents' families to provide coordinated care.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care assistants and junior nursing staff, promoting a positive and professional team culture.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with CQC standards, infection prevention protocols, and health and safety regulations.
- Promote residents' independence, choice, and quality of life by delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
- Participate in handovers, clinical audits, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with a valid NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, elderly care, or community healthcare setting is desirable.
- Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience supporting and mentoring care teams.
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy care environment.
- High standards of record keeping and attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, infection control, and medication management.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.
