Multi-Sports Coach
Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:30 pm daily work through the school term time periods (Monday-Friday) and holiday camps if desired full time. Start date September 2026 Qualifications in sports or multi-sports required.
Job summary: Assist with day to day activities of the club. Provide quality playcare within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
Line manager: Club Manager, Deputy Manager
Responsible for: Working relationships: Children attending the club and their parents/carers. Management and staff, including students and volunteers. Childcare and play organisations, external professionals, schools, registering authorities.
Sports Coach Job Description
Main duties include:
Multi -sports Coaches are responsible for planning, organising and delivering an appropriate range of sports activities and programmes for children aged 4-12 years of age. Activities can range from tennis, football to rugby and many more multi-sports activities.
The multi sports coaches will need to deliver sessions according to the age and development of the children. They will need to make each sessions inclusive to all children and adapt to suit each child’s needs and abilities. The sessions will need to be fun, energised and skilled.
- Teaching relevant skills, tactics and techniques
- monitoring and enhancing performance by providing, encouragement and constructive feedback
- Has a wide knowledge on all multi-sports activities and able to coach these session effectively.
- Have a passion to work with children
- Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Helping with club administration, where necessary.
- Encouraging parental involvement in the club.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.

All posts are covered by the Childcare Act 2006 and are subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for a regulated activity and reference checks.
