Join Fugro as a Land Training & Competence Coordinator within our UK Land business based in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Technical Director Land UK, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering training and competence activities for office and field-based employees. Working closely with managers, team leads, employees and external training providers, you will help ensure training, certification and competence requirements are effectively managed and maintained across the business.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting employee development, operational readiness and compliance within a dynamic and growing environment. It would suit an organised and proactive individual with experience in training coordination, administration or learning and development support.
Your role and responsibilities:
Coordinating employee training requirements in line with company training matrices, HSSE requirements and client-specific requirements;
Scheduling training courses and managing associated logistics and communications with delegates and training providers;
Maintaining accurate training records and certification data within Workday;
Administering and maintaining competence assessments within the Kahuna competence management system;
Providing ongoing support and guidance to employees regarding training and competence processes;
Managing relationships with existing training providers and supporting the identification of new suppliers where required;
Producing training reports, attendance reports and skills gap analysis to support business planning and compliance requirements;
Supporting the continuous improvement of training programmes, competence processes and training matrices;
Working with Procurement and Finance to support purchase order and invoice processes for training activities.
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
We are looking for a highly organised professional who enjoys working with people, managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate records and data.
You will ideally have:
Experience in a training, learning and development, administration or coordination role;
Excellent organisational and time management skills;
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
Experience coordinating schedules, logistics or training activities;
The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines;
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records;
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables;
Experience using learning management, HR or competence systems would be advantageous.
