We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring all cargo is secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
- Communicate with dispatch or clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public.
- Assist with organising deliveries in accordance with priority and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed lorries or commercial vehicles.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience in commercial driving environments.
- Knowledge of flatbed handling and securing loads safely during transit.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle paperwork accurately.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Physical fitness to load, unload, and secure cargo as required.
Pay: £100.00-£250.00 per day
