Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Support the organisation and storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary techniques is desirable
- Experience in serving or general kitchen duties within a hospitality environment is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
