We're looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our growing team. We work across schools, sports clubs, residential developments and commercial sites, delivering high quality grounds maintenance, lawn care and sports pitch services throughout Essex and Suffolk.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you could be maintaining school grounds, the next marking sports pitches or working on specialist lawn care projects.
We're looking for someone reliable, hardworking and professional who can represent our business well when working on client sites. Experience is welcome, but attitude is just as important. If you're willing to learn, work hard and take pride in your work, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Grass cutting and general grounds maintenance
- Strimming, edging and hedge maintenance
- Sports pitch marking throughout the season
- Lawn treatment and turf care operations
- Using professional grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
- Keeping equipment, vehicles and work areas clean and organised
- Working safely and efficiently across a variety of sites
- Delivering a high standard of service for our customers
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Professional and courteous when dealing with customers
Desirable
- Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticultural experience
- PA1 and PA6 certification
- Brush cutter qualification
- Experience operating commercial grounds maintenance equipment
- Understanding of sports turf or lawn care

Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
