The Role:
Our client is a 10-year-old girl who lives with her family. She has a brain injury and complex needs around sensory processing and autistic spectrum disorder. She is mobile and interacts nonverbally, using PECS/ hand leading.
T enjoys watching the TV, swimming, and going on her trampoline! She is full of energy and leads a highly active, varied life!
T is looking for a support worker with a positive outlook on life, who can be observant and sensitive to her very bespoke needs, but also incredibly charming mannerisms.
The role will involve duties, such as personal care, washing, dressing, support with meal preparation and household duties. You will also support community activities and development of communication directed by MDT.
Full training in all aspects of our client’s support will be given and you will be supported by her Case Manager.
About You:
You will provide a supportive and engaging approach to our client by following her Care plan and helping her achieve her educational, developmental and rehabilitation goals.
You will be kind, positive, reliable, and able to build a relationship of trust with our client.
Due to occupational requirements, this role is only open to female applicants.
You will enjoy being around the two family dogs, the family cat and even watch the chickens roam freely around the garden!
You will get to enjoy taking the client out on activities using her own vehicle. For this reason, you would need to be a driver, hold a full UK driving license and be over 21 (for insurance purposes).
T can struggle to control her emotions at times due to frustrations in communication, which can present as challenging episodes. You will need to get to know her and understand the importance of appropriate communication styles to her. You will be skilled in presenting information in an appropriate way that allows time for processing. Routine and consistency are particularly important to our client.
Preferably you will have at least 1 years’ experience supporting someone with complex behaviours as our client has complex sensory support needs

Pay:
£17 per hour weekdays
£19 per hour weekend days

School Holidays 09.30-7.30pm Monday -Friday
Bank/ additional hours to cover team colleagues annual leave and in school holidays.
Contract:
Permanent contract-5-10hrs/wk (working 2 to 4 weekend days per month)
Bank/ Zero hours contracts for school holiday work
