An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join the dynamic team in the acute and general medicine team as a Admin Co-ordinator within the Division of Medicine at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
The successful candidate will be a crucial part of the team and will support the acute and general medicine team and managerial leads in delivering a high quality service. You will be responsible for the daily admin support for our Consultants and Nurses.
You will need a flexible, proactive and thorough approach and be able to quickly form and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in different staff groups and at all grades. You should have the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times. You will be quick to learn, be able to work as part of a team, and also possess the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative.

Administrative Duties:
- The main responsibility of the role is to assist with the administrative responsibilities of the department.
- The post holder is expected to talk on the phone with patients answering their queries they may have with regards to results, appointments or letters they have received.
- Opening and distributing the relevant post of the Consultant and Resident Doctor team to where this needs to go in order to support with prompt service delivery
- Being responsible for organising meetings for the clinical teams, this includes but is not limited to the Consultants, Professional Development Nurses, the Specialty and Assistant Specialty Manager. In order to this it requires booking and monitoring room bookings, ensuring where required catering is booked in a timely manner and assisting with sending invitations to meetings.
- Minute taking for departmental meetings, including but not limited to; General Internal Medicine Team meeting and the General Internal Medicine Governance Meeting. This includes typing the minutes up and ensuring timely distribution of them.
- Proving support with the administrative duties for the General Internal Medicine Consultants
Additional Duties:
- Assist AMU Admin Coordinator and AMU Ward Clerks when required (covering annual leave, sickness etc)
