We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable self-employed music tutors across London to join our growing network of teachers.
We provide students looking for music lessons, and you arrange lesson times directly with your students to fit around your availability.
Whether you are studying music, a recent graduate, an experienced teacher or a professional musician, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do
As one of our music tutors, you will:
- Deliver engaging one-to-one music lessons in students' homes across London.
- Plan lessons according to each student's ability, interests and goals.
- Encourage students and help them develop their musical confidence and technique.
- Agree lesson dates and times directly with your students or their parents/carers.
- Submit a short lesson report after each lesson so that attendance, progress and tutor payments can be recorded.
- Follow our safeguarding, professional conduct and tutoring policies.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents/carers and our team.
Who We Are Looking For
You should:
- Be confident teaching your chosen instrument.
- Be studying towards, or hold, a recognised music qualification or have equivalent conservatoire, professional, performance or teaching experience.
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and helping students progress.
- Be professional, punctual, reliable and comfortable travelling to students' homes.
- Be able to teach beginners confidently. Experience teaching intermediate or advanced students is an advantage.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK and, where applicable, permission to undertake self-employed work.
Previous formal teaching experience is welcome but not essential. Musical ability, professionalism and a genuine passion for teaching are equally important.
Safeguarding and Onboarding
Because many of our students are children and young people, successful tutors will be required to complete our safeguarding and safer-recruitment checks before receiving students.
This will normally include:
- An appropriate Enhanced DBS check for the child workforce.
- Safeguarding training appropriate to the role, such as Level 1 safeguarding or equivalent.
- Proof of identity.
- Evidence of your right to work in the UK and, where applicable, permission to work on a self-employed basis.
- Proof of current address.
- Suitable references.
- Acceptance of our safeguarding, professional conduct and tutor policies.
If you do not currently hold the required safeguarding training or DBS documentation, please still apply. We can explain what will be required before you begin teaching.
