Countrystyle Meats is a family run business, and we are looking for a Part time Shop Assistant to come and join our busy team at our Lancaster Leisure Park facilities, Lancaster, LA1 3LA.
At Countrystyle we aim to serve our local community with an outstanding shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, friendly, who can work as part of a team to deliver outstanding customer service every time.
The successful person must be able to greet and welcome our customers warmly, engaging with them to find out their shopping needs.
Job role
· Ensure our customers are served in an efficient, friendly, and polite manner
· Greet each customer with a friendly and warm welcome
· Engage courteously with customers as and when required
· Professionally deal with all customer queries
· Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services
· Ensure goods are displayed to company standards
· Always Think 25 when serving age restricted products
· Take part in quarterly stock takes
· Maintain all required records accurately
· Ensure goods are rotated and handled with care
· Always comply fully with food hygiene and health and safety requirements
· Help the shop continue their strong relationship with the local community
Skills
· Shop experience (preferred )
· Customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and confidently
· Good eye for detail
· Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively
· Ability to serve customers in a friendly, polite, and approachable manner
· Ability to demonstrate a flexible attitude to work, and working hours
· Experience of working in food retail (preferred )
· Experience of working in a team
· Food Hygiene Compliant (preferred )
This position is not a weekend role it does entail weekdays and will be on a rota basis each week. Applicants will need to be flexible about working hours and able to work weekends and Bank Holidays as part of a rota.
