We at Sydmar Lodge care Home are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Senior Care Team Leader to oversee and coordinate high-quality care services within our care community. Responsibilities
Supervise and support caregiving staff to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with individualized care plans
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately
Administer medications following HIPAA regulations and facility protocols to ensure safety and compliance
Lead emergency response efforts such as CPR or first aid when necessary, maintaining readiness at all times
Coordinate with healthcare providers to develop and update comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
Oversee housekeeping duties including cleaning common areas and resident rooms to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care, utilizing memory care techniques
Operate assistive equipment like Hoyer lifts safely while adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting and patient transfer techniques
Foster a caring environment by engaging residents in social activities and providing emotional support
Experience
Proven experience in senior or long-term care settings, with familiarity in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
Strong background working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease
Hands-on experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and care plan implementation
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
Prior leadership experience supervising caregiving teams or direct support staff in group home or home health settings
Familiarity with essential caregiving skills including meal preparation, light cleaning, patient monitoring, and assisted mobility techniques like the Hoyer lift
Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or hospice support are advantageous
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as part of daily responsibilities
