Responsibilities
- Repair and refurbish alloy wheels by removing damage, cracks, or corrosion using specialised tools and techniques
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, chisels, and files to prepare wheels for repair
- Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and sanders to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Conduct inspections of alloy wheels to assess damage severity and determine appropriate repair methods
- Perform heavy lifting of alloy wheels and related components safely during the repair process
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist with inventory management by tracking parts and materials used in repairs
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive repair or wheel refurbishment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding wheel structures and repair techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive or metalwork environments is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is required to handle alloy wheels and related equipment effectively
