Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. This role involves leading by example in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, supporting junior staff, and ensuring the smooth running of kitchen services. The Senior CDP will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through expert meal preparation and culinary expertise.
Responsibilities
- Take control of preparation and cooking of various sections, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in developing new menu items and improve existing recipes to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Assist junior kitchen staff, provide help and guidance on food safety, hygiene, and cooking techniques.
- Maintain food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Ensure all ingredients are stored correctly and inventory levels are managed efficiently.
- Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus, organise kitchen workflows, and meet service deadlines.
- Support in cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a hygienic working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise with front-of-house staff as needed.
- Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
