We're recruiting on behalf of an amazing Blackburn for an experienced Catering Manager to join their team from September 2026.
The Role
As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the school kitchen.
- Planning, preparing and serving nutritious meals in line with school food standards.
- Leading and supporting the catering team to deliver an excellent service.
- Managing food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality and customer service.
- Catering for dietary requirements and food allergens safely and effectively.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous catering experience, ideally in a supervisory or management role.
- Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
- Be organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Be committed to maintaining high standards and creating a positive dining experience for pupils.
