Job Summary:
A pivotal role within the J. Parker’s group, our Coffee Shop Chef’s are responsible for preparing fresh, seasonal dishes in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver a high-quality food offering that complements the welcoming atmosphere of our café.
Please note: Candidates must be willing and able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Key responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including breakfasts, lunches, and baked goods
· Ensure food is presented to a high standard and served in a timely manner
· Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards at all times
· Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
· Support menu development with seasonal specials and customer favourites
· Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
· Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
· Comply with all health & safety and food hygiene regulations
· Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
· Restock supplies and assist with deliveries
· Support the team during busy periods and help with opening/closing duties
· Provide excellent customer service to internal and external colleagues
Personal Specification:
This role requires:
· A positive attitude and a passion for customer service
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Basic food hygiene knowledge (training will be provided)
· Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods as needed
· Have an approachable, positive and proactive manner
Desirable, but not mandatory skills include:
· Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting is a bonus
· Full UK driving license
Pay: £13.20-£13.50 per hour
