The Opportunity
Set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, our 17th-century inn has long been known for its warm hospitality, quality real ales and homemade food. Under new ownership, we’re investing heavily in taking our food offering to the next level.
We’re searching for a Head Chef who shares our ambition.
You’ll have the autonomy to develop exciting seasonal menus, champion local suppliers, inspire your team and help establish The Pub With No Name as one of the area’s must-visit dining destinations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves cooking as much as leading people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading all aspects of the kitchen operation.
- Designing creative, seasonal menus that celebrate the best local produce.
- Developing daily specials and evolving the menu throughout the year.
- Building, mentoring and inspiring a high-performing kitchen team.
- Delivering consistently exceptional food during every service.
- Managing GP, stock control and kitchen budgets.
- Driving standards in food safety, cleanliness and organisation.
- Working closely with the owners to shape the future direction of the business.
About You
You’ll be someone who:
- Has proven experience as a Head Chef or an accomplished Sous Chef ready to take the next step.
- Has a genuine passion for cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Brings creativity, innovation and attention to detail to every menu.
- Understands the commercial side of running a successful kitchen.
- Leads from the front and inspires those around them.
- Thrives in a busy service while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Takes pride in creating memorable food experiences.
- Can reliably commute to our rural Hampshire location.
