This position is for a Bank mental health support position, working on a casual contract with varied shifts, subject to availability. Being available to cover evenings (between 4 - 10 pm) and weekend shifts (between 8 am - 10 pm) is a must.
Pay: £13.01 p/h weekdays; £13.59 p/h weekends + holiday entitlement (pro rata, based on FTE of 5.6 weeks p/a).
We are an established, South West based specialist supported living and outreach services provider for adults. We support clients with a wide range of complex needs, including
- Mental health needs
- Forensic
- Autism or Asperger’s
- Learning disabilities
- Substance addictions
- Complex and distressed behaviours
Our staff teams provide support around all aspects of daily living, including e.g. managing tenancies & room care, finances & benefits, dietary needs/grocery shopping/meal planning, mental & physical health, medication & appointments, correspondence, accessing the community, working/volunteering, relationships, etc.
If you have previous experience in (mental health) support, or similar work within health & social care, and if you are looking for a permanent contract that still offers flexibility around other commitments, our Bank Mental Health Support positions could be for you.
Our bank staff are highly valued as they provide flexible, but reliable support to cover for staff absences, holidays, sickness, etc.
Whilst bank shift availability fluctuates throughout the year, in addition to our service in Weston, we also have 7 support teams + satellite houses across Bristol & Bath. Candidates who are willing to work across areas, will generally have access to shifts every week. On this basis, we are looking for candidates who can offer reasonably regular availability, including some availability over the summer and winter holiday periods and willingness to cover evening & weekend shifts.
We are not an agency, but a direct employer, and in order to ensure adequate continuity of support for our clients, we cannot consider candidates who are looking for temping positions, a very ad hoc role, or only for occasional shifts.
