Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement processes within our organisation. .
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and administer Group Procurement policy and system.
- Manage the Purchasing department, its employees, and systems in a commercially focussed and accurate manner.
- Supporting all the internal departments with the sourcing of items required for the business both from the UK and overseas (such as Africa, America).
- Maintain good working relationships with external suppliers, third party contactors and promote the Marriott Drilling Group in a professional manner and manage any supplier conflict resolution.
- Ensure the Purchasing Dept Supplies all required reports to the finance team, to assist with the accounting month end procedures.
- In conjunction with the Operations Managers implement a stock system and control
- Liaise with the Accounts department to ensure the transition of dealing with invoices is undertaken in a logical and organised system.
- Maintain Supplier SHQEMS files and KPI scoring
- Supervise the tracking spend/orders planned by individual job.
Training and Development
- To ensure continuous development, to assist you within the Procurement team and your individual role.
- Maintain contact with relevant parties they are to ensure up to date with procedures and legislation.
Relationship Management
- Ensure effective communication is undertaken with all Stakeholders both internal and external
- Build professional relationships with relevant external bodies, promoting the Company in a professional and positive manner.
Qualifications and experience required for this role:
- Significant practical experience within Procurement, ideally degree / CIPS qualified – preferred but not essential.
- Ideally experience of working in Project based environment in the Oil & Gas or construction Industry
- Experience of international shipping and logistics,
- Stock management.

- Have experience of working under pressure and the ability to meet deadlines.
- SAGE experience, Excel, SharePoint
Salary
Commensurate with experience.
Pay: From £50,000.00 per year
