We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Inspector to join a busy and growing automotive operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and a good understanding of vehicle condition and mechanical standards. You will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, identifying defects and ensuring that vehicles meet the required quality and safety standards before progressing through the preparation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough inspections of vehicles upon arrival and throughout the preparation process
- Identify mechanical, cosmetic and safety-related defects
- Accurately record inspection findings and required remedial work
- Assess vehicle condition against company quality standards
- Liaise with technicians, workshop teams and management regarding required repairs
- Conduct final quality checks where required
- Ensure vehicles are prepared to a consistently high standard
- Work efficiently to meet daily inspection and preparation targets
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and completed work
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within the motor trade is essential
- Experience as a Vehicle Inspector, PDI Technician, Vehicle Technician, Workshop Technician, Vehicle Appraiser or similar would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and common defects
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to confidently identify mechanical and cosmetic issues
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced vehicle preparation environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
What’s On Offer
- £41,990 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 5:00pm
- 47.5 hours per week
- Permanent, full-time position
- No regular weekend working
