We are looking for a fun, energetic individual to join our kitchen team. Hours are;
Monday -2.45-5.30
Tuesday 8.15-3
Friday 1.30-5.30
But this could be negotiated upon if needed.
Overtime is expected when either of the other two chefs is on leave or sick, enabling you to pick up more hours regularly.
You will be responsible for providing the nursery children with their snacks, lunches and teas when on shift. we cater for approx 60-80 children during snack and 40 for a main meal, we cook everything from fresh.
Training will be given.
Position is subject to a clear DBS check and two positive references.

Purpose of post
- To support the chef in the organising, cooking and preparing of a healthy balanced diet for children from birth to 14 years.

Duties and responsibilities
· To support the chef is planning healthy means
· To co-ordinate the serving of the meals and snacks throughout the day
· To wash-up crockery, cutlery and all equipment used to prepare meals
· To share responsibility for hygiene and risk assessment within the kitchen area, including all record keeping relevant to the post
· To share responsibility for food safety within the nursery including all safety checks relating to food storage and preparation
· To contribute to the maintenance and agreed high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen area.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.95-£13.10 per hour

- Dereham NR20 3AE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
