Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy manufacturing team in Exeter. This is a fantastic temp-to-permanent opportunity for someone with sheet metal fabrication experience who enjoys working with precision and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, bend and shape sheet metal to meet technical specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans.
- Operate fabrication machinery, including guillotines and press brakes.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure finished products meet required standards.
- Make adjustments or modifications where necessary.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing role.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as guillotines and press brakes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift materials and remain on your feet throughout the working day.
- A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in metal fabrication is desirable but not essential.
