We’re looking for experienced cocktail and hospitality people to join the team at Purgatory Bar in Victoria.
Purgatory isn’t your standard London bar. We’re part of No Escape London, combining great cocktails and hospitality with immersive entertainment and escape-room experiences.
For us, service and personality are just as important as making a great drink. We want people who talk to guests, make recommendations, bring energy to the room and genuinely care about giving people a brilliant night.
The role
You’ll work across the cocktail bar and floor, so we’re looking for people who are comfortable doing both.
You’ll be:
- Making high-quality cocktails confidently and consistently
- Delivering excellent table and floor service
- Talking to guests and recommending drinks
- Bringing personality and energy to the experience
- Working as part of a small, close-knit team
- Maintaining high standards even when service gets busy
- Helping create the fun and immersive atmosphere Purgatory is known for
Who we’re looking for
Previous cocktail bar or premium hospitality experience is important.
You’ll ideally be:
- Confident making cocktails
- Naturally good with customers
- Friendly, outgoing and personable
- Passionate about great hospitality
- Reliable and organised
- Comfortable working both bar and floor
- Available evenings and weekends, particularly Fridays and Saturdays
We’re looking for people with real hospitality experience and personality, not just someone who can follow a cocktail spec.
Pay & hours
20–35 hours per week, depending on availability.
Our current base rate is £12.71/hour plus service charge and tips, with our team typically earning around £17.50/hour in total.
That figure is based on the actual average service charge received by our hourly team over the last eight months, rather than an advertised maximum. Service charge varies with trade and isn’t guaranteed.
We’re also working towards extending our opening hours, which we expect will create opportunities for additional hours and shifts in the near future.
