Taxi Controller (Part Time - 30 hours per week)
Location : Tranent, East Lothian
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Taxi Controller to join our busy team.
Working Pattern :
- 30 Hours Per Week
- Week 1 - 3 weekdays
- Week 2 weekdays and 1 weekend shift
- Alternating rota

Key Responsibilities :
- Answering telephone calls and booking customer journeys
- Dispatching jobs efficiently to drivers
- Monitoring vehicle movements and responding to changes throughout the day
- Providing excellent customer service
- Handling enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Using taxi dispatch software (training will be provided to the right candidate)
What we’re looking for :
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good computer and keyboard skills
- Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Good local knowledge of the area
- Previous taxi control or transport experience but not essential
