Total Payments is an independent payments consultancy helping UK businesses reduce card processing costs and improve how they take payments.
Thanks to continued growth through SEO, digital marketing, referrals and inbound enquiries, we're looking for an ambitious Payments Advisor to join our team.
The Opportunity
This is primarily a sales role.
You'll be speaking with business owners throughout the UK, understanding how they currently take payments and helping them switch to more suitable and cost-effective solutions.
Unlike many sales roles, you'll be working with genuine enquiries generated through our marketing activity, website and referral network.
You will manage opportunities from enquiry through to activation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Contacting and qualifying inbound enquiries
- Following up website, WhatsApp, email and telephone leads
- Reviewing merchant statements
- Preparing and presenting quotations
- Managing your own sales pipeline
- Closing new business opportunities
- Completing provider applications
- Onboarding new merchants
- Generating reviews and referrals
What We're Looking For
Essential
✔ Minimum 2 years tele-sales experience
✔ Excellent communication skills
✔ Confident telephone manner
✔ Self-motivated and target driven
✔ Comfortable speaking with business owners
✔ Strong organisational skills
Desirable
✔ Merchant services experience
✔ Financial services experience
✔ Telecoms, utilities, insurance or SaaS sales experience
✔ CRM experience
