WHO WE ARE
Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six companies, each with its own culture, personality and people. Across the group, we support around 10,000 learners a year and we're scaling fast, building out our data curriculum to meet growing employer demand. We need someone ready to walk alongside every learner on their Data Technical and Data Analyst journey; spotting when they're stuck, pushing them past it and getting them to End-Point Assessment, ready and confident.
THE QUICK FACTS
Location: Remote-first, UK. Occasional travel for team events or customer meetings.
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start: As soon as possible
Must hold (or be able to pass) an Enhanced DBS check
Programmes: Data Technician (level 3) and Data Analyst (level 4)
LIFE IN THE ROLE
You'll own a group of apprentices from day one to End-Point Assessment, and your job is to know exactly where each one of them is - what's clicking, what isn't and what's going to trip them up before it does. You'll give personalised, constructive feedback on real workplace evidence, spot skill gaps early and adapt your coaching to close them.
You'll manage the full apprentice journey: interventions, pastoral support, safeguarding, compliance tracking and the unglamorous but essential admin that keeps a learner on track to complete on time. You'll work closely with employers and line managers to contextualise learning to real organisational challenges and feed insights back to curriculum and quality teams on what's actually landing.
The environment: We work remote-first. You won't be micromanaged, but you will be expected to own your results from day one. Apprentify is a scale-up; processes are still being built and things evolve quickly. The people who thrive here see that as an opportunity, not a problem.
TEAM & CULTURE
You'll join the Delivery team, results-focused, value-driven culture contributors who move fast and support each other.
Reports to: Performance Manager
Delivery Management style: Clear expectations, genuine autonomy over how you get there
What we value:
THE HONEST HARD BIT
You'll be holding a caseload of learners at very different stages, some of whom are disengaged, behind, or juggling a demanding day job on top of their apprenticeship. This role needs patience, tenacity and genuinely good judgement about when to push and when to support, all in a fast-scaling, occasionally chaotic environment where priorities can shift fast.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
You genuinely care about unlocking talent and enjoy helping people grow
You can translate technical data concepts for non-technical learners without losing the substance
You can hold a caseload of learners and know exactly where each one stands
You're comfortable with pastoral conversations, not just technical ones
You enjoy being challenged to keep growing yourself
This is NOT for you if:
✘ Your data knowledge is theoretical and you can't explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences
✘ You'd rather deliver a session once and move on than track someone's progress for months
✘ You prefer slow, predictable work
✘ You've never trained or coached others before
✘ You see documentation and compliance as someone else's problem
✘ You need a fully structured corporate environment to do your best work
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 2 years' experience in data analytics, computer science, statistics/mathematics or equivalent
Proven experience coaching, mentoring or developing individuals 1-2-1 in a professional or educational setting
Ability to give high-quality, honest, developmental feedback that supports learner progress and achievement
A proven track record supporting learners to achieve higher-level outcomes, such as merits and distinctions at EPA
Strong organisational skills for managing a caseload: progress tracking, intervention planning and timely reporting
Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality & Diversity responsibilities
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and work-based learning
Confidence using digital tools and online learning platforms
Nice to have: industry-recognised qualifications such as BCS Data Analyst, Microsoft (Power BI, Azure Data) or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, knowledge of End-Point Assessment processes for Data Tech Level 3 & Data Analyst Level 4, understanding of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework, a teaching, training or assessing qualification and understanding of the use of AI in data analytics.
