Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Team Leader to oversee and coordinate care services within a care home specialising in senior care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading the care team, ensuring high standards of resident care, and fostering a supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care to residents.
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities, allocate tasks, and monitor staff performance to maintain high standards of service.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering professional development and team cohesion.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Assist with organising training sessions for staff to ensure ongoing professional development.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff rotas using IT systems.
- Support residents with their daily needs, promoting independence whilst respecting individual preferences.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents and colleagues.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or attending external meetings.
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to care settings.
