What You'll Be Doing
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while helping to create an engaging and stimulating nursery environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging activities that support children's individual learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
- Building strong, positive relationships with children to support their emotional wellbeing and confidence.
- Supporting children's personal, social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through purposeful play and meaningful interactions.
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress accurately to support their individual learning journeys.
- Working closely with your Room Leader and colleagues to provide consistently high standards of care and education.
- Supervising children throughout the day, including during play, mealtimes, outdoor learning, sleep and rest periods, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers about their child's day, development and achievements.
- Promoting positive behaviour using a calm, nurturing and child-centred approach.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety throughout the nursery.
- Supporting children with personal care routines while promoting independence appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Contributing to the planning and organisation of stimulating learning environments and activities.
- Taking part in team meetings, training and ongoing professional development.
- Imbedding our settings policies and procedures through your practise.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
- Has previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
- Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Is passionate about providing exceptional care and education.
- Has excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work effectively in a busy nursery environment.
- Is caring, patient and enthusiastic.
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of practice.
