Job Overview
We are looking to expand our catering team and extend our opening hours. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen. As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and inspire your team to achieve excellence in food preparation and presentation. This is a dynamic role suited for someone with a background in hospitality and restaurant management.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of service
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards
- Manage food preparation processes, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences
- Work closely with maangement to develop the catering offering and support club events, functions and competitions.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' professional chef experience
- At least 2 years' experience leading or managing a commercial kitchen
- Passion for producing high quality food
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality
- Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent recognised training is preferred
Pay: £30,160.00-£33,200.00 per year
